Your Voice, Yourself - Jessica Lark

Written by Andy. Posted in Boudoir

I wanted to introduce you guys and gals to my friend Jessica Lark. Jessica is classifies herself as an Artistic Intimate Portrait photographer. Never heard of that title? Well, that's one of the reason's I wanted to bring her on. As photographers many times we spend way more time imitating others than defining yourself. This is something that Jessica has done extremely well.

As some of you may know I have been on a little bit of a rant lately with the amount of photography workshops that are popping up all over the place. While I understand that photography is an evolving craft and there is always something to learn, I feel as though too many people are wasting time learning and not enough time applying. What I mean by this is that as soon as one workshop is over, there is already another being advertised that you MUST TAKE! I think this is actually doing a greater harm than good because it's making photographers always feel as there is something new that they must learn before they become photographers...I say stop learning and start shooting...at least for a little while!

Ok, rant over and back to Jessica! What i love about her is that she's defined herself, she's listened to her inner voice and the images she creates are all her...this is something we can and should all learn from.

Fly for your dreams - Jaime Pfister

Jamie Pfister fnkybee

I wanted to introduce to you to my friend Jamie Pfister from Fnkybee Photography! She's a professional photographer from Nashville, TN! I really like Jamie, not only because her work is rocking, but because she's out there hustling. The hustle has to be the hardest part to learn about the entire photographic process. You can learn lighting, posing, retouching, but in the end, if you don't hustle...well you're basically just going to be sitting at home.

Alot of people complain about this or that, and the truth is, and I hate to be so blunt, but it's YOU! Only you are in charge of you, and only you are in charge of your future. There are situations (as my dad would say, a problem has no solution) that are completely out of your control, and a lot of times they suck! But what you do have, and always will have in your control is how you handle them!

So stop complaining, get out there, start hussling and...
