Paul Herdsman: A Successful Entrepreneur Steering His Personnel Towards Success

 

Paul Herdsman is a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of NICE Global living in Boca Raton, Florida. The company is a near-shore business solution located in Montego Bay, Jamaica and was initiated in 2014. Although he now resides in Florida, he was born in Kingston, Jamaica.

 

He studied MIS, business in the Florida Atlantic University and previously worked at JM Family Enterprise and iS3 both as business development director. He has over 10 years’ experience in online customer acquisition and consumer software. Herdsman takes pride in his marketing, sales and problem-solving skills. Paul Herdsman’s skills are centered within e-commerce, strategic partnership, call center, business development, digital marketing.

 

Paul is a family man who prioritizes his family over anything and when not in the office he spends time with them. He has two certainties in his daily routine, seeing his kids off to school and making sure he sees them before he is off to bed. He also enjoys his free time playing golf and going out fishing.

As an entrepreneur, Herdsman does not waste time. His meetings, emails, and calls are short and concise. He does not like creating busy work that is not important. Paul Herdsman makes sure that his team members learn and understand each individual business unit within the company. By that, they understand why it exists, its responsibilities and how to execute the responsibilities. This strategy has helped grow his business. As a young entrepreneur, holding onto certain responsibilities for too long had always been his biggest challenge. He recommends two books to the community, “Rework” and “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff“. He keeps them in his office and reads them from time to time. This entails keeping family close no matter business problems. The other is forgoing normal business routines and just getting things done. He does not have a favorite quote and sees all quotes positively and negatively from different angles which help him collectively. He advises the community to reduce dependence on smartphones usage which is negatively influencing us.
